FUNGUS TOENAILS TREATED BY QUEENS PODIATRIST

Just because one went for a pedicure does not necessarily mean that they got the fungus from that pedicure. This is my personal opinion.

Sterilizing instruments that may cut through intact skin is important. Some use gluderaldahyde solution, some use heat sterilization.
I prefer to use individual packaged instruments where the entire package is sterilized so that each patient sees me open each package in front of them.
The whole problem is that some oral
medications out there have possible side
effects on the liver, kidney, etc… Even if some
of these oral antifungals are taken, after they
are completed the fungus could possibly
reoccur. What caused the fungus to occur in
the first place could have been a problem with
the patient’s immune system.
Onychomycotic describes the fungal infection of a toenail. Sometimes laboratory confirmation of the fungus is needed prior to starting a patient on oral antifungal therapy. If a toenail is debrided down far enough sometimes I use gencian violet solution which is not FDA approved to treat such a problem and sometimes I combine this with 40% urea.

  1. There are some interesting points in time in this article but I don’t know if I see all of them center to heart. There is some validity but I shall take hold opinion until I look into it further. Good we want more, thanks and article! Added to FeedBurner as well
